It's most likely an issue with one of the following: 1) differing install drives/partitions that are making it problematic for the game to read and write to the \Photos folder in \Documents\Eek, 2) an anti-virus or anti-ransomware or anti-malware program in some way preventing folder or file read/write/modify access to \Photos, 3) or an issue with user permissions. Once you try to use the camera the reticle vanishes, but no button prompts.(can't recall what button did activate it tbh) No pictures are taken despite pressing all buttons. The camera can be picked up, inspected, and them combined with the SD card. Recently ran into this problem (hadn't played since update). The only exception is the censorship patch of course.cause Steam. The newest version of the game actually bundles in the latest story content (but only content up to the date of the 0.8.3 update).so as long as the game was successfully installed and updated via Steam and does not crash PRIOR to loading the title screen, it will populate the necessary \Documents\Eek folders and files even without an internet connection.
It also contains troubleshooting steps that might help with story content failing to function properly: anyone know how I can fix this? This link, section "T2" has a redirect that will allow you to download the current \Mods content (original stories, languages, etc.).
